LATEST NEWS SUSSEX LUSITANOS' MARE, XANAIA, WINS RIDDEN TITLE AT THE NEW FOREST SHOW



Xanaia, the 7 yr old purebred Lusitano mare, owned by Sussex Lusitanos and ridden by Leila Rahmatallah, won the Iberian Ridden Class at the New Forest Show on 28th July. This is Xanaia's first showing season under saddle - she and Leila went on to win the Ridden Lusitano Mares Class at the BAPSH Show, Hartpury on 31st July and also the Reserve Lusitano Championship at the same show. Xanaia is bred by Coudelaria Romao Tavares. Her sire is APSL Stallion of Merit and European Working Equitation Champion 'Iberico' (by Cartaz) and her dam is 'Nata' (by Embaixador). She joins a successful string of Lusitano horses in the UK, all bred by the Coudelaria Romao Tavares Stud and owned by Sussex Lusitanos, including Numerario, Quota and Morena.
