In its 4th successful year, this Show takes place in the picturesque town of Ponte de Lima, ½ hr’s drive north of Oporto. Superb showground facilities and a wide selection of equine entertainment, including national level dressage, Lusitano classes, working equitation, carriage driving and displays. Large trade stand village with restaurants/bars.
The 4 night trip includes flights to Oporto, 4* hotel and transfers.

The annual trip to Golegã Horse Fair is our most popular group holiday trip to Portugal, and is now in its 20th year! The Fair has taken place since the mid-18th century in the small agricultural town of Golegã, just over 1 hr’s drive north of Lisbon.
The Fair is a 24 hour spectacle of the Lusitano horse and features Breed classes for 3 yr old colts and 4 yr old stallions, dressage, Working equitation, driving, Portuguese equitation and much more… Evening displays include performance by the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art, and Luis Valença’s Centro Equestre da Leziria Grande.
The 5 night trip costs £450.00 per person (based on 2 persons sharing a twin/double room and small rented car) and includes:

We also arrange an optional day out to visit a Lusitano breeding stud – a chance to see the stallions, mares and their youngstock in their home environment, and to meet the breeders. A typical Portuguese country style lunch is included. This day has been a highlight for many in recent years.
Residencial Cavaleiros de Cristo is a small family run hotel in
Tomar, 30 minutes’ drive north of Golegã. All rooms have en-suite
bathrooms and breakfast is included. The residencial is popular as it is centrally located in the historic district of Tomar, close to several good restaurants, banks etc. Near the hotel, the magnificent 12th century
Templar Castle containing the Convent of Christ (declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO) is a must for those who wish to enjoy some sightseeing. Alternative higher grade hotel accommodation (4*) in Tomar is also available on this trip – details and prices on request.
Places on the Golegã Horse Fair trip have proved very popular in the
