Due to the limited number of adult Lusitanos available for purchase in the UK, the majority of horses we obtain for clients are purchased directly from Portugal. Sussex Lusitanos have 19 years' experience of sourcing and purchasing horses in Portugal. We place particular emphasis on selecting the correct type of Lusitano for each individual prospective purchaser. Viewing trips to Portugal are arranged every month. We feel that it is important that prospective owners of Lusitanos acquire some background knowledge of the Lusitano breed horse in its home country, its handling, training etc. The visits provide an invaluable insight into this very special breed.
